Woman found dead with multiple gunshot wounds outside Los Angeles apartment

NORTH HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A woman was found shot to death near an apartment complex in North Hills overnight, triggering an urgent search for the suspect.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired on Orion Avenue near Nordoff Street around 11:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim, who is believed to be 25-30 years old, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds behind the building. She died at the scene.

Details about what led up to the shooting were not available, but one resident in the area told Eyewitness News they heard as many as six gunshots.

So far, no arrests have been made and a motive for the shooting has not been determined.
